I actually posted this in the body forum, but since engines is more popular, i copied it and decided to put it here...

I live in windsor, Ontario, and work for a guy named Jack Young. Real sour one...Anyway, he owns Young's Truck sales, a junkyard and parts place. We also rebuild trucks and sell 'em. anyway, he said hed do me a favour and paint my truck blue, if i got the paint, which i already had. GRRR...I have two SMALL dings in my truck...One in the front fender, and one in the back rocker panel. He TRIED to knock these out, but only made worse. there's a bunch of hammer marks in the finish now! He used a steel hammer, when I TOLD him to use brass! he said "oh i know"...and heres the clencher...He painted it, and the small rust spot i had under the rocker, he opened up into a BIGGER HOLE with a claw hammer, and DIDNT EVEN PAINT OVER...The bottom of my truck has a chrome gray underpaint, and he just left it! WITH THAT RUST SPOT!!! Two days after he painted it, he went over it with a "NICE COAT OF WAX"...WHY do you have to wax brand new paint? Anyway, HE USED A TOWEL, AND PUT SWIRLS IN THE BRAND NEW PAINT...I COULNDT BELIEVE IT...THE TRUCK LOOKS THE SAME AS IT DID BEFORE, ONLY A DIFFERENT COLOUR...*** *** **** #%Q#%&*Q#%&(% *#%@%@#%*%##%#%!!!!!!!! AAAAAAA!!!! I AM SO MAD!!!! NEVER EVER EVER DEAL WITH JACK YOUNG...I HAVE SO MANY STORIES...but those are for another day....I am going to go and cry...anyone know what i can do to get those swirls out...
Actually, instead of crying, i'm just gonna go and smoke a crack cigarette...lol...j/p...

 

Try Mequires #9 swirl remover or 3m also makes a good swirl remover. Also wash your truck with dawn first to remove the wax.

I've always heard in the past to wait 30 days before waxing a new aint job, but don't know if that's an old wives tail or not. Something about letting the paint cure.

HI!.... haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! You actually did buisness with YOUNGS TRUCK SALES???????? No one in this town deals with him. He's the biggest "BUTCHER" in town and WAY over prices everything in his salvage yard! I wish you would of asked around before dealing with him. I would of set you straight REAL quick.

 

Yeah, My dad and I have race horses out at his barn (located just right of the shop, in front of the yard) And nobody in that barn likes him...He's a mean, arrogant, stingy, DUMB Son of a beyotch...
He asked if i wanted to come out and give him a hand working for him, and (regrettably) i did....He gave me THIRTY bucks for seven and a half hours work, and STUPIDLY i went back the next week (it's only on saturdays, cuz im only 16) That day, i cut wood, and pulled the rearend out of a truck, basically worked my ***** off..What does mr. Young hand me? A nice, crips TWENTY DOLLAR BILL...needless to say, i havent been to work for him since...it is kind of akward though, since I do see him everyday when i take care of our horses...

But Neal, are we cool now?

 

Cool is currently a longshot for this ... it is just damn cold here ... a high of -8 C today. LOL !!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your paint problem, but if you know the guy and you don't like him, and call him all of those names, and know he is cheap, why in the world would you trust him to paint your truck???........Not trying to flame you, but you got what you paid for.

 

I know, I know...but it was only 100 bucks to paint it, as he said he was doing me a 'favour'...pffff....some flippin' favour...I worked for him until like two weeks ago, and he didnt seem like he'd screw me over that badly....But, he did. So i just wanted to warn you all to NEVER deal with Jack young, For Anything....EVER!!!

 

dang that sucks man. find a good swirl removier (meguairs #9) and try that but if the swirls are too bad it probley wont get them out. good luck and sorry about the bad deal

 

I remember a few years back he had this black 'Chev' 1500 sportside, made to look like a 454 SS. It had a cobbled together 350 (that was supposedly out of a '80 or '81 Corvette) The funny part was that the truck wasn't even a Chev it was a GMC. The cab was from a Chev, but the frame was from a GMC and that's what the ownership said. This was a truck that a friend of mine was thinking of buying. Needless to say, he didn't buy it. Turned out is was assembled from the parts and pieces of several wrecks. I laugh about that everytime I drive past the place.

No point in that, it's been dead for 17 years.
