A Multi spark high energy ignition system for the coil over plug system. I just installed it, so far much crisper throttle, an harder pull. I'll G-tech it soon, and post the results, as well as more driving impressions.

Do you know if it only comes in "coil over". My 99 F-150 4.6 has the two coil packs.

I look forward to seeing what hp and tq. INCREASES you get due to the plasma booster.

I think they do have a coil pack set up. I have a friend who is a laser repair tech, he gave it a look over and says it does in fact do what they claim.

It alone should be worth about 7-10 hp, with the timing advanced it will actually reder more than the timing advance itself and the booster seperately, so combined they are worth more.

I like to think I really look something over before I fork over some cash, It is pricey, and its really not at all that complex a system to engineer, or make. I did feel a "seat of the pants" improvement which says something. I didn't expect to be pushed back in the seat , I'm just getting her ready for a little boost someday...lol!!

 

HI!... Yes the PLASMA BOOSTER is a great product. MIKE T informed me about it about 3 months ago He installed one on his LIGHTNING and picked up like 23H.P. They tested it on a stock 260H.P 5.4 and get about 10WRH.P. Don't know about the 4.6. Mike's the national distributer for the PLASMA BOOSTER in the U.S I guess. I'm ordering one for my truck soon, just trying to get some bills payed off for now. I've done a ton of research on the PLASMA BOOSTER and it does what it says it does. It's smaller and cheaper that the discontinued MSD STACKER and this ignition upgrade ACTUALLY works. If you look in the DECEMBER 2002 ISSUE of MM&FF on page 243 there is a 5 page article testing the PLASMA BOOSTER.

 

Sounds good!! the stuff i saw on the website only had a 4 HP gain..Jstang...did you say it adds timing ? I don't want it to mess with the Superchip...or that you get better results because of the added timing from the chip..

Roush, it doesn't add timing, it works better(more effect) with a timing advance.

In their application table I dont see one for our trucks, any idea what product number I would use for a 2002 5.4L?
