I have a 98 EXpedition with the 4.6 i bought a new pcv valve and went to replace it . the oem is a elbow type pcv and the parts guy gave me one thats straight. Can someone shed some light on this for me .

Just take it back and get the one with the elbow. I'm sure the hose that attaches to it will need the elbow to clear the wire harness box that's above it.

Just replaced my PCV valve
today .had the same problem.Just take the elbow off the old valve
and slide it on the new valve.
it worked just fine.
