1997, 5.4L, 4x4. #3 plug spit out at 80,621 miles. Changed plugs at 72,000 miles as per dealer suggestion to fix rough idle problem. Now I have a new engine due to internal damage caused from the blown plug and I still have the rough idle!

Hi all,

I've already started a list, going in the thread "Blown Plugs, Damaged Cylinder Threads". There's no point in starting another list, other than to just increase the confusion for everyone.

By all means, add your account there if you haven't done so already, and edit the information you posted there to include missing data (# of plug, etc).

Thanks,

Chris
