Unhappy Horror story.... I fell asleep at the wheel

Driving home from work, I was real tired... didn't goto bed till 1:00am, got up at 5am....

I fell asleep and rearended a trailer, I was doing 75mph... trailer was doing 60mph or so... NO damage to him at all but my bumper is trashed.

Guess the traction bars must wait... gotta fix the truck right.

I'm not using my insurance due to 9 points on my record and plus I already pay $407/month.

I wish I never got into racing... hurts me when I need it most

well... it does scare the crap out of you waking up with a loud BAMM!

I might have frame damage... not sure yet. frame could be bent to the left a tad. I gotta get a new passenger side fender, new clear corner, new bumper, new brackets to weld to the frame, lower valance, upper cover on bumper, and to have it painted to match.

I can get hold of a gallon of Dark Shadow Grey Clearcoat Metallic for cheap. I might fix it and get the whole truck repainted to that color... who knows

Yes, I am ok! Thanks for asking...

Damn Talley! I'm glad your ok. And that your truck was'nt to severely damaged. All that matters is you're ok. The truck is replaceable, but you're not. Take care.

Talley,
Maybe it is time to do a quick fix and then use that X-Plan I sent you. End of model year close outs + big rebates + X-Plan could = new Talley truck? It could work.
Oh yeah, glad to hear your OK

so true I didn't trash it tho cracked the grill and broke a clear lense. now the clear lense is broke more.

JonrJen: As soon as I can break even on trade in, It's a serious possibility. It's good for a year so it'll be for 2003 close outs

GearHead_1,

Also... do you still have it available?

I'm gonna buy me a used bumper chrome, or whatever color for 50 bucks at a junk yard and then buy the Street Sceen Gen 3 Cover! cheapest way I can think of... Then get any grill that is in tact and have it painted, but would still like the honeycomb.

Then i'd just have to get a set of $30 clear corners and then worry about the Fender, It's not that bad really but it is bent.

Talley,

Sorry, I haven't shipped it yet but a guy just sent me a Postal Money Order yesterday. It'll go UPS on Tuesday.

Sounds like the smartest way to make it a looker again without visiting the bank.
