Exaust Help...
Im in the market for a new exaust system. This will be my second mod other than an intake....My question is what EXAUST should i get for me 1999 F-150 v-6- 4.2 auto XLT Extended cab ? I want a nice deep sound.. I had a buddy who had same truck, put FLOWMASTERS on it but is sounded like a damn boat was about to dock...... What do you guys think i should go with ?
You probably don't want to hear this, but:
Stick with the factory pipes, just exchange the factory BUS muffler with a single inlet, single outlet, 2.5" 40 series Delta Flow FlowMaster. Don't dual it and put two mufflers on or anything. You will pick up some much needed torque and the sound won't be like your friend's 'boat'. I just did this and I'm very pleased with the results and the sound.
Hope this helps. . .

Gibson single side swept...
Spintech x-piped catback
replace stock muffler with magnaflow
replace stock muffler with borla
My only recommended options on a automatic.
