#1 Reason why Gas Stations should be Self-Serve in NJ

Because SOME gas station attendants are ****ing morons! I go the same gas station all the time. The Texaco right newr my house...The guy knows me and my truck. Today I say Fill it up with 93...He starts the pump and stupid me, I didn't pay attention to what he was doing(talking to my girlfried). He gives me the reciept and I notice he put 87 in it...I asked him what the hell happened and all he could say was "sorry, sorry"(seriously, that's ALL he could say). So I promptly started cursing loudly(bad temper) and removed my superchip as I explaied to him that he could have f'd up my engine...

I am so pissed now. I'm getting my gears changed on Tuesday and I need the chip for everything to work correctly, but I can't use the chjip until I drive 400 miles and fill up with 93.

I just hate incompetence.....This happened 4 hours ago and I'm still pissed cuz I'm getting my gears changed. I'll probably syphon the gas into my girlfriends and dad's cars....DAMN

Shouldn't be a problem. Relax, I'll buy you a beer bro.

I've ran 87 on a few occasions on my chip. Didn't have any problems, for what I could tell at least.

Hey I miss those days of having someone pump my gas. It kinda sucks when its below freezing and your stanind outside like a putz freezing your rocks off. And with all these fires that are getting started by static electricity theres no way in hell im getting back into my truck to warm up.

Are you saying...

that New Jersey has some law that says you can't pump your own gas?

And I thought Minnesota was a hosed up state!

yup...

There are no Self-Serve gas stations in NJ.. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to pump your own gas.

Un-freakin-believe-able!

Isn't the right to pump your own gas in the Declaration of Independence or Bill of Rights...or something!

What is the rationale for this law? Some mafia thing (sorry, couldn't resist)? Please explain! Do you still have Sunday closing laws, too?

Don't mean to hit on Joiz-ey, and as a citizen of Minnesota, I'll admit we have some dumb ones, too, but can't pump your own gas!!!!!!! Sheesh!!!!

Goto your local Sherwin-Williams and buy some Xylene. Look it up on here, the lightning guys use it all the time to up their octane. My buddy with a Grand National does too.
