That sucks man how come the fine is so high back in Feb when I got my last ticket doing 25 over the limit it was less than 100 dollar fine since it was a city cop that got me a State Trooper would have been over 100 never had a fine more than 130 bucks. 325 is a little high of a fine I think.

That could be. All I can say is Speeding is a hard habit to break I had my share of tickets in my 20+ years of driving it don't matter if I'm driving a Mustang or a pickup or econo box on wheels I've been stoped in them all.

Damn, 407 a month! you must really like driving. If I paid that much I would sell my truck. I have been real lucky with getting pulled over. Ran a stop sign doing 40; got a verbal warning. Got pulled over doing 42 in a 30 (slowed down from 60 when I saw the cop) got a written warning. and just the other day I got pulled over for doing 41 in a 30 (BS was only doing 36) and got a verbal warning, if you could call it that. I was lucky this last time, I was picking up a battery for a wheelchair lift at a camp I work out for disabled kids. And of cource I told him that so he let me go. I think from now on 5 miles over the speed limit is enough. Either that or I need to get a CB with a scanner.

I'm sure glad we don't have a point system in Texas. I'd be hitching rides from friends or riding the bus a lot.. Well, they probably would be riding the bus too so I guess we'd all be SOL.

If we had a point system here in texas I would not have a liscence.

I've paid a total of 1,300 in lawyers and tickets this year alone.

problem was, I was working in college station and I would drive back and forth everyday.

I would always be falling asleep on the road and when i do that my foot plants down... i'd pass cops without really knowing i was speeding.

those freakin brazo county people are strict.

I use to have a car and travel every 4 days to work (2 hour drive)
cost me 900 canadian one month
sold car bought house(where I work) and got a nice slow v6.. never had a speeding ticket from that point on.. finally got my first marit last month..(course my wife has full marits)

I don't speed in trucks.. + its a auto so that sucks. and gas is too expensive!

Talleywacker, Have you tried to ask for deferred adjudication. It is available here in Texas and is basically 3 months of probation. You pay the fine, but if you go 90 days without a ticket they drop the ticket from your record. Between deferred adjudication and defensive driving, I have been able to keep my record clean. I presently have 12 days to go on my latest deferred adjudication plee.
