Ive heard of hollowing out the chamber of the flowmaster. What will this do and is it illegal? more power? more noise?

Don't do it.

To hollow out the chambers in a Flowmaster is to destroy the very thing that makes them awesome. You want those chambers for several reasons. Who ever told you to hollow out a FlowMaster muffler already had the process done on his head.

Keep the mufflers chambered. Your engine will thank you for it.

Hollow them out and your power will go down, noise will go up, and it may or may not be legal depending on your local laws regarding noise and exhaust system condition.
