I currently own a 96 4.9L, I'm in the market for a newer F150 or other newer truck, I'm into lifted/raised trucks with bigger tires, I would like to eventualy get a newer F150 and lift it maybe 3-4 inches and put some 33's on it. How would the 4.2L take this, I'm not going to go straight after getting a 4.2L, I'd like to get the 5.4 but I might have to settle for the 4.2L..no offense.

 

I am getting a 6" lift and tires somewhere around the size of 33"s. Once I get them on I will write back telling you how it is. I don't expect a huge change because the 4.2 is a pretty torquey motor, but I guess we will see.
