I agree 100% with Talley on this. The OE wires are really the only replacement for me, too. If you go with an aftermarket set, MAKE SURE you check each wire with an Ohm meter. There should be no difference (well, .02 ohms is the spec I believe) from wire to wire provided they are the same length. There is a specification, so many Ohms per foot of wire or something like that, but I can't remember right off hand.
I got burnt really bad with a set of AutoLite wires that weren't Ohm matched on a 5.0L mustang. Switched back to Motorcraft wires and have never had a problem since. Jacobs and MSD make good products also. . .but how much better than OE in the critical functions is a source for debate.
