Don't do that washer crap... just cut a big square out of the filter box and stay at least 1.5"s away from the clamp and it will will still retain the factory filter clamp... leave the damn pegs on too. You just want to cut out a square to open up some air to the filter... look at mine real close.... you will see it is much cleaner and professional than making a washer.

It won't void no warranty in doing so... hell, I had 3 tranny overhauls when I had mine on. Don't worry about keepin the same one... if at all. i have a complete one here that i will GIVE you.

Cool

Thanks Talley,
I was gonna do the washer trick but yours does look alot more pro, my only worry was voiding my waranty and if i dont have to worry about that then i'll go for your idea. I'll probably find one at a junk yard too, as long as i dont have to buy the whole system. XLTsport.....yours looks really nice too...but i would rather have the cone holding my filter on than cable ties Thanx for the tips and the pics.....

yeah

Yeah..i guess your right...I didn't want to cut my box in case I needed to put it back on, because at the time, I wasn't sure if it would void my warranty. Maybe I'll cut the box and put it back on.

As Talley mentioned just cut your box. It does look better than the zip tie route and is very easy. MAke sure you stay far enough away to allow for the clamp to seat and of course leave the feet posts. Ten minute mod at the most and some definite seat of the pants improvement.
