New to the Boards
Everyone,
Just another new guy here, well new to the board, but been around Ford all my life. First vehicle I ever had was a 64 f150 stepside /300 Straight six/three on the tree. It wasn't the fastest truck on the street, but I never failed to pull whatever I chained up to!
Last September I got myself a 97 F150 XLT ext cab/4.2L/5-Speed manual from Gullo Ford in Conroe. I bought it with 97K miles on it, but I only paid 10K for it. Picked up a small dealer warranty (12K miles) and have already run it out. I did get the dealer to replace the entire timing chain cover/oil pump assembly and the pitman arm before it was over. Now the truck has 112K miles and I just had the upper control arms replaced and put new shocks on the old girl. Drives like she just rolled off the assembly line.
I am a BIG TIME do it yourself repair guy, so I think this board is going to be a great help.
Look forward to talking Ford Trucks with all of You!
