Head Gaskets

Hi Gang,

I'm gonna be doin my head gaskets. Wondering which ones to get Cant find anyone that has them. But while the heads are off they are getting port, polished and the intake are getting honed out and then a 50 shot of NOS is goin on so they will need to hold up. Any suggestions???

if your doing your intakes and heads... don't forget to do mass air, injectors, custom chip... and you will need to dyno your truck with injector pulse width test and A/F ratio done to your truck with the results sent back for a second chip burn to make sure everthing is going to check out o.k.

I once had a webpage saved that sold some 3.8 head gaskets, performance or whatever. but lost it in a freak bad tri-boot install. just go and buy factory from dealership. I myself am having hi-temp carbon fiber gaskets custom made when i get my rebuild done.

The factory gaskets are VERY good. The newer 3.8s and 4.2s basically get a version similar (better) than the original SuperCoupes. They have stood up to guys running 150 shots and 15# of boost.

Your stock MAF is fine for a 50 shot. You will need at least 24# injectors and eventually a fuel pump.
