Question Removing My Engine?

Hi i am removing my 4.2 v6. I was wondering if i had to take off the intake manifold to get the engine out. Also if anyone could give helpful tips with getting this engine out it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Ask for "Neal" The HP freak. He may be able to help you out. I "know" that he "knows" alot about engines. I do know that there are two places to hook a chain up to on these engines, and that intake manifold sits way back there don't it! What a booger that will be to pull. I don't know much about pulling that 4.2, but someone else may know a little more than I do... Neal!!! Sorry if I'm not much help.

it would help to take the intake off then you can hook the chain to the block with the intake bolts after you get it off
