Talking Check this Out!!

It as a few nights ago, I was on the way home, Along this street, and I allways end up draging someone on this street, but that night, I pulled up to a Black & Tan F150 Lariat extended Cab, With the Triton V8, 5.4 L if im not mistaken.... I look over at this car and notice an after market deck glowing from the dash, and look up, and its this Lady in her Mid 40's and she has this grin on her face and she grabs the shifter abd slams it to first, I look up and the light is green......And were off, where neck a neck, till about 40mph and than i slowly pull a head by 2 car lengths in front of her before we merge, it was so cool.... She tail gated me untill the next light and than pulled up to my side at the light and said is that, That new lightning thing??, No, its just a v6 , she was pissed, nun to say. I went right and she just stayed there and wached me leave. HAHAHA
I love my truck and if any one questions should I buy a V6 or V8, You'll know what i have to say about that.

Hehe it was probably a 4.6. I have a 4.2 and can take the guys with 4.6 and ect.cab at work. I cant take the regular cab though. The 4.6 isnt that powerful. Hey Red does your truck grind from 1st to second if you rap it out hard and shift fast?

if im not mistaken the 4.6 does not have much more hp than the 4.2. ive heard that ford bumped the hp #'s on the 4.6 because it was to close to the 4.2 and nobody would buy that engine if they could almost have the same with the v6. mine has the 2-3 grind it if i have the rpms up and try to shift it faster than normal

Hey 1/2 bent, my tranny has ground every gear so far. ive had it fixed 3 times and now it doesnt like 4th gear when wound out

What did they have to fix?? My 1-2 is my problem. Sometimes 3-4. I know these trucks arent sports cars but i dont think they should grind when shifting fast.

Actually.....

The Triton symbol represents the 5.4 if im right, and she had a automatic, she slamed in first from the tree...

I have a feeling she might of let off but i sure heard her rmps go up there and her shfting into second.....

I think i beat her fair and square... Check the sigs, its a small truck, with a lot of extras and a tonue cover witch helps with wind she had a 4X4 also... I think, extra wieght...

And I have a beatiful shift in all gears thanks to my chip.
Air force one and Flowmasters are my back bone though, and you of corse have to know how to drive...

The triton emblems are on trucks with both the 4.6 and 5.4, although I am not sure when Ford first started using them.

i think they were on the 97's for the 5.4, but started puttin them on all of them in 98 or 99

1/2 bent, they had to replace the syncro's each time. and they still keep going out. the first time it happened it was between 1 and 2.
