hey Talleywacker

hey,

i was looking at your sig on a different post. i would have said something there but i did not want to get the post off topic. in your sig it says 203 rwhp. i was wondering if that was with the prototype pulleys? I was also wondering why do pullies and the electric fan make engine temps go up? if so wouldn't this counter act the 10 rwhp performance up grade? (this is not a flame. i simple do not know) i just just thinking that a total of 15 degrees higher would kill some hp...is that right? thanks for any info you have.

electric fan should not raise your engine temps at all... if done properly. the crank pulley slows down your power steering, a/c, water pump, and your alt. this is how you gain HP from pulleys by decreasing drag your accessories use less HP. In turn because your water pump is moving a tad slower it will pump a little slower thus making your engine ~ 5F degrees hotter. this is with just the crank pulley. the water pump pulley adds another 5F. I shouldn't really counteraffect due to such a small raise in temps. 203 is without the crank and water pump pulley. Lee (ASP owner) was gonna dyno my truck but due to some street construction, we were not able to gain access to the dyno. He's estimating a 8rwhp with the crank pulley and 2rwhp with the water pump pulley. for a total of 10rwhp... both of which should be available for 199.99 + shipping. I paid 60 for the crank and 20 for the water pump pulley, because i'm testing their product. Lee installed everything himself so he can write up installation instructions.

I have not been able to get track time's either due to rain . I might go sunday and see whats up. Lee states a gain of .2-.3 with both pulleys.

Question? (talleywacker)

Where did you get your electronic fan at? Notice any difference? How much are they?
