i am having serious problems wth my truck and was wondering if i could get some help , the little six has 60000 on it and wont stop missing. not a dead miss like a spark plug or wire but an infrequent miss below 3500. serious power robber here. before miss i ran a 17.20 1/4 now it is a 22.18 1/4 no mods have been done lately im about to pull it out if i cant get it running right. thanks to all

It's either fuel or fire related. If it's running fine below 3500, that tells me it's spark related. Someone more familiar with that sytem will hopefully chime in soon.

My '97 had the same problem and occasionally missed slightly when engine was at low RPM under load (uphill in overdrive). I thought that the plugs and wires should be good for 100K but I was wrong. Mine only made it to 70K and plug gaps were way out of spec. After I replaced both, miss disappeared and mpg improved somewhat. I'd try changing those plugs and wires first, but best of luck whatever you do.

I had the same problem - plugs and wires fixed it right up - along with some injector cleaner....
