Question 4.2 supercharger for 2001??

Was just taking a look at the enginebay on the autonet web page, and decided to go and take a look at my enginebay. There is no way that supercharger will fit on the 2001. That is an older engine, maybe 2000??? But my question; is there a way to fit that supercharger on the 2001? Will autonet make one to fit the 01? If not what will us 01er's do? Watch the 2000 and below f-150's blow right by us 01er's laughing?? B:: help need answers!

The Autonet kit will fit your truck. All the 4.2s are the same in design with minor changes through the years, and I am 100% sure that the year modle won't affect the install of the supercharger. I know for a fact that there is a 99 F150 running around these boards with the kit on his truck. So we do know that it will fit on a 97 and 99, and most of the changes happended in the 99 modle year so you won't have anything to worry about with the blower fitting on your truck

Freak is right

I agree 100% with Freak. It will fit all current models (97-01). However, I read that in 2002 or 2003 the 4.2 will get a returnless fuel system and that might affect the compatability of the kit on2002+ model years. If you are really unsure of compatability, just shoot the autonet guys an email. They will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Appreciate the info guys, its just that the alternater in autonet's picture of the enginebay area, the alternater is on the top right corner if your looking downward at it. Mine alternater is where the supercharger is. I don't know maybe its just me?

That's because the kit required the move of the alternator. It's pretty cool but they did have to do a whole lot to get that kit set up. Check out the site a little more, you'll see the custom brakets for the alt. move listed. If you're seriously interested, give em a call, they'll let ya know. I'd bet it'll fit just fine on all the 4.2's

one more question?

BJAYSREDF-150 how does your engine perform with the poweraid, jba headers? Did you notice a difference?
