ok heres the deal i have a f-150 xlt stepside with an airaid cold air induction system on it an a x-pipe with flowmaster 40 series comming out the side...i would like to put new gears in it but would like some opinons on which one would suit the v-6 with the set up i have?? im thinking between the 3.55 or 3.73.. but not really sure so if anyone can give me a hand on this it would be a big help

 

I would say go with 4.10 gears, this will give you a very noticable difference in the way of acceleration. But, if you're concerned with millage, and top speed I'd go with the 3.73. It also depends on what size tires you have(how tall are your tires?). 3.73 gears would be a good compramise between 3.55 & 4.10. If you are drag racing I would definantly go with the 4.10, but if you plan on supercharging or using NOS later on down the line I would go with the 3.73.

hey thanks for giving your help since ill just be having my stock tires but ill switch to an 18x9 in front an 10 in the back with 295/45z/18..and i also wanted the 3.73 and i thought it was ok for an inbetween gears
