elchorizon2....

This mod didn't make my truck louder as far as the muffler goes. The only thing you can hear is more air getting sucked into the engine. This really isn't even that noticable unless you're listening for it or the hood is open.

Marco,

The next step down the line is porting and polishing the throttle body, or possibly replacing that acordian section of plastic tubing with aluminum tubing. I did the throttle body mod before I did the airbox mod. I haven't messed with different tubes yet. Search the V6 forum for throttle body mod. It's fairly easy, and might add some throttle response.

It's hard to judge my mods at 7000 ft elevation. The only things that makes performance up here is a turbo or supercharger. I can say that at 2000ft elevation my truck whoops all over my buddy's identical truck with no mods, and I light up a tire frequently.

There is a gutting the MAF mod that talleywacker has done, but he said that one is definately a warranty voider, so I haven't done it.

The next step is the superchip and muffler, and maybe some headers. I'm debating on sending the money to the credit cards, or to Desert Rat for a set of JBA headers... I guess with the new airdam and lights on the way I'll pay some bills and get the headers later...
