well i went to the track today in erwinville, la. it is called state capitol dragway. well this was my first time being on a track ever and i seen someone on here that was running like 17.225 or so and their mods were i think exhaust,intake MAF mod and a superchip. i made 9 passes and i was running a consistant 17.399-17.459. the latter being the first run. . my r/t's were ranging from the beginning 1.026 to the last 4 runs i was cutting a .520-.550 light. is this pretty good for a single cab v-6 styleside auto,3.55 gears and the only mods were a drop in k&n finter, cut up airbox, and si/do turndowns on a 29"glasspack. i know it is still VERY slow, but i have just begun the process of "moddin it up"

Hey bud, low to mid 17's are just about dead on for a stock f-150 V6. Your R/t's are that bad either. Don't worry though you can drop a few tenths wthout any mods by deep staging, letting out tire pressure and leaving at a higher RPM. Addicting isn't it?

superchip and intake only when I ran my best 17.221 @ 81.35

flaresides are 135lbs lighter than stylesides and on these 4.2 v6 trucks 55lbs is about 1 tenth in the 1/4 so you will be a little bit quicker in the 1/4 stock. superchip only dropped my time .2 tenths, throttle body did ~.05, maf did nothing. I don't know what the intake did because i never ran stock... maybe .1 so all together my stock time would of been ~17.5 and your lighter so -.2 and you get 17.3xx.

times sound good to me...

its those lightnings that are getting .3+ with a chip, heck, one guy I know with a PSP chip dropped .8 and thats stock w/ just chip on strip program.

only expect .2 with the chip.
