Just a thought. Numbers are great. But it's up to the driver sometimes. Some people are out of their league driving Trans am's etc.. It can give you an edge. Besides. Why would a driver of a firebird challenge a pickup? Sounds foolish.:o

Don't get the glasspacks then... I hate the sound. BUT, Dyno tests have shown they give the most torque 13rwtq, 8rwhp. thats what I got from them on my old truck. So I did the same with my new truck and got a greater feel of power from the glasspack, maybe because I have a 5-speed.

GUYS.... NEW TRANNY IN TRUCK!!!

Took a week, and I did NOT mind at all... I got to drive my dads Lincoln LS Sport 5-speed around .... that thing is SA WEEEET!

new tranny feels just like old one when new... i'll take it easy on this next one. btw... I have 2k miles now.

Talking my mods

LOL ok here ya go, some where custom made from the place across the road from Whataburger

New Pistons running 11:3 compresson.
i was going to go lower so i would get more out of the super charger but i didnt see me getting blown in the next few months with a baby coming along :\
Moly ring
A Cam that i had built for my birthday that a friend who runs fords did the specs for so i am not sure there. gives it a nice "loup"? yeah a bum bum bum bum bum bum sounds =D
i plasma cut the muffler and took the chambers out but the direct 2 and welded it back on so i could put turndowns on
Polished and ported the Throttle body, and a new thorttle body spacer, gutted the MAS and Polished out the Manafolds cuase i am to lazy to try to crame some damn headers down there.

Custom Reprogramming

New Weight Distrubtion moves ALOT of the weight to the back right wheel so i can plant it and scare the hell out of the rice

with the addtion of a 50 shot of nos that was removed cause my parents freaked out, i loose some but it was only a 50 shot so it was not that big of a deal

Thats why i scare Trans ams On westhimer, i just dont have the top end.

Check it out, the first one is my truck doing a baby burn out, not much of a trans mission so i am not oging to break it to much.
at the end you can hear the lopping i was talking about.

LOL you want to go?

Hehe let me trailor my girls car down there.
She is a member of Girlie girl racing team.
She will smoke your truck and your tang in a heart beat.
although she runs 9's, to know what she has in it, you have to beat her to see it.

Also this is not a daily driver so do ask to have her drive it down to houston, its not possible, but if you want to run at the strip, you bring that pretty red truck of yours, and i will let her race you her self!

and i am not scared, i will run my truck against both your truck and your mustang, would be the first time i got beat, but i will give you a run the best i can. and you might just be suprised. alot of a race is mind set and how a driver drives and i have honed my skills and i am allways ready to race.

Well if her stang runs 9's than that's a little faser than I am allowed to drive at the track, and am not going to risk running anywhere else(safety). I haven't gone and got my Comp. license yet, but I plan on doing so in the spring. Right now my car is dialed in for REAL STREET, but after I get my license, we are probably going to up the shot and run in the BFGOODRICH DRAG RADIAL CLASS. And I got plenty of practice...35 runs just in the truck, over 112 in the stang in various combo's and a few(3) Wed. night bracket champs, and a divisional champ in Phoenix, now I'm saving up for a weedend at a drag racing school so I can get the license.

And I don't have to trailer my stang......

Gloating over hehe

eheh first, she doesnt drive a ford
but its a trans am. once again
but the main reason (there is many reasons why we trailor it, mainly cause its has 3 tread MT SL dot slicks on it) is cause it gets about 4 miles to tha gallon.

hehe we can lift the front wheels off the ground, but i can do that with my truck and my airbags

take care,

gosh if only you had a set of tires you could go to westimer in a true 9 second car, that your girls friend owns. i think it is what a 60 to 70 mile trip to houston. what do you do with the car if you cant bring it to houston, does she bracket race it or let me guess hehehe its for late night action with the college students in bryan and if it takes $300 to run your truck, you dont run the tran am for anything less than a $1000. maybe next time you win a race you can buy a set of street tires.

let the b.s. begin!

unless you have any comments on what I've said... get lost and stay out... If you feel you have to start making B.S. comments, start your own thread... and NO brotherdave... this is NOT directed toward you ok. Keep it to comments on title or what I've or others have said... NO b.s. please.

Talleywacker, I know how you feel. If you want to see arguing and BS, check out what became of my post on connecting daytime running lights in the electrical forum

Did ford give you any grief about replacing the transmission? I'm still looking for a short throw shifter for these things. Worst case I'll have to design and build one myself.

Wow, when did telling the truth count as BS?

All i know Tallywacker, if you were talking to me, better back your *** up cause i damn well know your not. reconsider before you shoot your mouth off. i was responding what others where saying. I dont have to drive my girls car to beat you, but when you start talking mustangs, i will start talking Trans ams. Its not bs, i am not making **** up, This damn car does run 9's, i dont have to fib, hell its not my car, but i put the wrench time into it, my truck, and all my other toys so when people tell me i am talking bs, they can kiss my ***. Yes, its is a 300 dollar bet to race me, cause in the past its cheaper to pay 300 dollars who is really serious to race, then race some damn retard on the road, get thrown in jail for racing and get nothing out of it. If i am going to jail over a race on westihimer, i am going to get compensation cause i am not going to stop cause i a cop, i am going to beat you.

Also, for your info, my wife got 3 in the Pontiac Fast 15 in Baytown not to long ago. (about 2 months ago)

So Tallywacker, if you were drecting your last post towards me, let me put everything in prespectives, i am not a lier, nor have i ever been, when confronted with someone who calls me a lier, they usually eat thier words, cause i will prove my self in every form and fashion.

If you didnt direct your last post at me, i am sorry somethings going wrong with your girlfriend and i hope everything gets better.

oh yeah

brotherdave, kiss my ***.

It's not you brotherdave... its chaos150

he comes onto my thread and starts saying how he will kick my *** v6 - v6 and then he gives you a bunch of ****... he's out just to cause problems. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or nothing, he just needs to lighten up a little and stay off peoples bad side... specially when it just sounds like the whole ford vs. chevy arguments.

chaos... I don't doubt you at all... never did, i would love to see that car in action kicking my *** ... i'm a lover of fast vehicles period. Be happy and non-defensive dood.

...yes, girl problems still exist today ERRRR!

Doesn't the V6 have 215 HP?

I have a '99 4.6 V8 with 220 HP as I recall. (I don't really care much one way or the other), and I seem to remember that the newer V6 engine has 215 HP stock. Is this correct?

I built a fiberglass bodied car that only weighed 1920 lbs. wet and had 220 HP. It would do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds flat. So, I'm used to faster performance than the hottest Lightnings. And, I almost bought a V6 because I was impressed with the snap it has right off of the line. And, with an automatic and 3:08 rear end it will get 20 miles per gallon. But, I opted for a 4.6 V8 and I get 23 mpg. So, go figure.

My 4.6 is really impressive how strong it feels and how hard it pulls. But, it's not a "Smoker" by any stretch of the imagination. However, it is just exactly what I want in a vehicle. I have always loved the sound of a V8 and I am putting a MagnaFlow Cat-back exhaust system on it with dual exhausts out of a large 3" inlet muffler. Should give me the burbble sound I'm looking for.

Enjoy your rides! I know I'm going to enjoy mine!
