Disabling 2006 4.2L
I want to disable my Ford F150 Regular Cab 2006 4.2L when leaving it parked in a hotel parking lot. I know on a Chevy 2003 SSR you can pull a fuse from the fuse box under the hood and take it with you. Where is the fuse box located? This Ford truck experience is new to me. Thank you in advance for input and suggestions. Sweet34

Fuel filter fuse? You mean the fuel PUMP fuse? You could pull the PCM fuse too.
Your owner's manual has fuse locations.
https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...r-manuals.html if you don't have one, you can download it.

#12----PCM Relay Coil.
#101----Starter Solenoid.
#102----Ignition Switch.
# R203 Half ISO Relay....PCM
Thanks for the quick replies. I have a couple of questions below:
If I were to pull #9...Fuel Pump Relay, would it still start and run for a short time?
If I pull any of the others, wouldn't it just crank over and not start?
Does it have to be reprogrammed if I pull any of these?
Thank you.

No reprogramming necessary. No different than when you disconnect the battery.
See if you know anyone in the repo industry. I know of someone and they have lots of mag mount gps trackers. I've rented one for 2 weeks for 20 bucks while I left one of my vehicles at an airport facility. Every day he'd put a trace on it to see if it moved, which it didn't.

I wouldn't worry too much. Your car has SecuriLock.
SecuriLock, also known as Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS), is Ford Motor Company's immobilizer technology.
You have a transponder key. Without the transponder, the ignition will turn but the truck won't start. So even if someone were to break in and punch out the ignition, the truck's computer will not allow the engine to start without a transponder signal. Most of your amatuer thieves will be stopped. A professional thief or repo guy comes along.....then all bets are off.
