So I just went over 100,000 km on my F150, now I notice it sputtering when I put my foot into it to pass on the freeway. The last time it happened it blew a big puff of black smoke. Is this just " blowing carbon out ? or is it something more ? I also noticed this when pulling my 30 foot travel trailer once too, about 2 years ago. I tend to usually drive like a grandpa, do I just have to drive it hard from time to time to really blow the carbon out ?. What about fuel injector cleaner ? my dad has used it before in his 2010 f150 and says he notices it runs better when he dumps a bottle into a full tank of gas ? Thoughts ?
