I took my truck into the alignment shop where they told me that I needed an idler arm. So I read my ESP warranty where it clearly states that the idler arm is in fact covered. I dropped off my trcuk at the dealer and they called me back to say that it is broke but not covered. So, I left work early to go home get my info to go back up there. The service manager said "huh, thats weird" and gave me numbers to call. Now I have to call ten differenyt people to try and get this resolved while the dealership sits on my truck doing nothing to it. For me just to get it back, without any repair, would cost me 75$ checkout time. ARGHHHHH, why did i spend 1500 bucks for this much of a hassle!!!

 

Your dealer is a bunch of boneheads. Sounds like they need to brush-up on what is and isnt covered.

 

Unfortunatley, I had to call Ford ESP directly, and complain like a little whiney kid. I had to threaten a lawsuit, more than once. They gave in and decided that they would cover it. I hat having to do that, cause I love Ford, but it was necessary. But in the end it came out OK.
