Any experience/recommendations for synthetic oil for my new EB

Just got done towing my boat to Colorado and back, put around 2000 miles towing on the truck and the rest was offroading or mountain highway driving. Oil is starting to change to a darker shade and I will be running a UOA to determine how it looks. Changed oil at 900 miles, currently at 3700 miles after the trip. 3500-5000 mile oil change interval looks to be correct for my motor depending on how much I'm towing.
Using Castrol Edge with Titanium 5w-30 and a Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil filter.

I change at 5k miles and use Pennzoil Platinum. Pennzoil Ultra is even better but not worth the cost for me since I change at 5k. Pennzoil states that Platinum keeps pistons 8% cleaner than Mobil 1 and Ultra keeps them 25% cleaner.
