I found a place called ASP Racing that makes a Crank underdrive pulley for the v6 but they only go up to a 98 so i shot them an e-mail to see if it will fit 99's and up so once i hear from them i post their response.

Pulleys

The pulley made by ASP Racing will not fit the 99-up 4.2V6. I proviously e-mailed ASP and was told that they had no plans on making one unless there was more interest shown. The difference has something to do with the crank being internally balanced vs. balanced with the crank pulley/balancer assembly.
There is a possibillity that the newer 3.8L mustang pulley will fit the 4.2L engine. Some of the older pulley's show the same part number on the ASP website, so it may be possible that the newer one's are the same also. I have been trying to find out, but have not had any luck yet.

that would be my guess as well , the 97-98 version would interchange , so i would say the 99-01 mustang should fit ....

ASP does have the pully.

If you look they have the pully listed for the 97-98 F150s. In 99 they changed the design to an internaly balanced one peice balancer/pully unit from the 97-98 externaly balanded two peice unit. The 99-2000 mustang 3.8L is the same one peice balancer/pully design as the 99-new F150s but insted of being internaly balanced the 99-2000 mustang pully is externaly balanced.

Although, ASP has recently introduced a pully for the 2001 mustnag 3.8L which uses the excact same one peice internaly balanced balancer/pully as the 99-new F150s. So in theory the pully that ASP offers for the 2001 mustang 3.8 will work on our trucks.

Well, the Tb spacer doesn't really do all that much. I put one in about two months ago and didn't really notice much of a difference in overall handling or mpg. I did notice it does pick up a little better in the upper rpm range, like WOT or freeway lane changes. This however was a very little difference. I will warn you that the truck does whistle now and I'm sure everyone will tell you it's not worth it for that reason. It's a high pitched whine that is loudest at about 2k rpm, where I do much driving. I've gotten used to it and kinda like it but overall, I wouldn't reccomend the mod.

I think if you check the engines forum, there was a recent board about electric fans. Most people say it helped with MPG. However, I currently have a decent stereo system, wich will only get better and drink more juice so the idea of having a 15 amp fan taking away my power isn't all to appetising.
