little help anyone? Cylinder 3 misfire

ok so i have a 1997 ford f150 with the 4.2l v6 engine, truck has 155,000 miles on it, just recently purchased the vehicle and randomly(so it would seem) on a warm start-up i will get a p0303 Cylinder 3 misfire code and the truck will have a miss.

i replaced the plugs and the wires but im still having the issue even though on the whole the truck feels better.

anyone have any ideas on this issue?

Could be any number of things with that mileage. Check your compression with high mileage. Not sure if the 4.2l has coils on the plugs, coils tend to go out periodically.

Replace the coil pack. I had the same issue a few years ago.

x2 on the coil pack, just remember that the 5 & 6 wire are not sequential on the coil pack.
