look for a turbo kit. Although the 3.7 is a high compression motor i cant see many more gains with the turbo/supercharger kits.

Would a mustang kit work with just a few modifications?

You pulled 9k with a 3.7? That's way over limits for the TRUCK, never mind the engine.

I was recently looking at the Procharger for the Mustang. The 3.7 in the Mustang looks pretty much identical to the F150, other than the intake track. It appears that it would bolt on. I'd want to clear that with Procharger before I purchased the kit.

You also want to make sure that you've got a reliable tune.

I personally wouldn't use a 3.7 F150 for pulling a lot of weight, especially with a supercharger. The engine is only capable of so much, which is why there are several engine choices. I'm not opposed to supercharging the 3.7 F150. In fact I've been contemplating doing so with mine. I just wouldn't expect it to work reliably if I over work it.

What he said. I'd get a different truck if you are towing a lot. That's why the F-150 has 4 different engines.
