Post hey XANMAN....

first off i have to give you props, the engine compartment definitely has its share of goodies in there. second, how much did all that cost you? and were the brackets all that hard to make? it looks like you took the ac bracket and used that, its hard to tell, but did you also use a two pulley system? i really want to supercharge my truck, and hop it up, i would like to have the little six haulin *** down the track. id like to get it to do twelves, i know that will take a whole lot, but 13s & 14's arent far off

superfreak,

First of all thanks for the compliment.

I built a bracket that goes over the A/C it sits about 1/2 inch above it,using the same bolt holes.I just got longer 8mm bolts to go through the bracket and the A/C.As far as cost I have about 2,800 in it and that includes blower, pulleys, belt,Superchip, fuel injectors, intake plenum gasket, intake pipe, bracket, bolts, and boost gauge.

What is not included in that price is the headers, exaust system,K&N air filter, and K&N PCV intake filter.

I have a intercooler on the way that will change the intake setup of course I will be taking pictures.

I think right now I'm in the mid 14's.I won't get to the track until I get back from vacation.

DANIEL,

I know I have a steel one but I'm not sure if I still have the wood ones or not.The bracket is made for the powerdyne unit. And the truck has to have A/C for this type of bracket to work.

XanMan I would install a bypass valve for sure it would save your investment, because when the throttle is slammed shut all of that pressure is going right back in the supercharger and in time going to ruin the impeller. Adding a intercooler is a very good ideal. e-mail me at dlfine1@juno.com thanks dan

Talking

I'm sorry guys for not getting with you yet but I have been working 7 days a week from 7 am. to 11 pm. every day!!I am getting ready for vacation at the end of June and I am self employed so I have to work twice as hard the month before so I don't get behind.

DANIEL I did decide to go with a bypass valve and the intercooler but I won't get it installed until July 10 or so.I will be gone from the 19 th. of June to the 10 th. of July.

When I get back I will get with both of you to talk over my setup in detail.

DANIEL,

That looks like a real professional shop you guys have there. That would be so cool to have all that at your fingertips to work custom stuff.Have you seen the kit that Autonet I think thats the name has out? I 'm not real impressed with the attention to detail.

I am not that impressed either, but it will do the trick for someone that doesn't have the know how (or any good machine shops in his/her area) to do a custom one like yours. The more I see yours the more I think thats the way to go.I'd say add me to the email list as well ,but I am building a house and can't afford to spend money on "toys" for my truck just yet.
Boy you sure are puttin the hours.A month or so ago I did the almost the same thing (worked 6 12 hour days, one day off, then 16 straight 12 hours days. What really sucked was I moved up into the 45% tax bracket and brought home just a lttle more than an average paycheck.)

lightingcrashz,

I know how that feels, are you building the house yourself? Right now I have three houses going at the same time and everybody thinks theirs is the only one that matters. I'm not complaining though I would rather be slammed than sitting around. And that TAX CRAP does suck big time!!

Yep, I am building it myself (with the help of several good friends and family members). I have a 26 acre parcel of land that it will be sitting on. As of last week the Building Dept. wanted the plans sent to an engineer to certified earthquake proof. The engineer will have that done by wed (he thinks).I got unlucky enough to get all the new standards for oregon applied to my house.Other than the earthquake thing, there are no problems with the design.Basically (from what the engineer said on the phone) all that needs to be changed is the foundation. The homesite sits on a sloping hillside and I was panning on using pressure treated beams cemented into the ground. This would have been great for the old oregon building laws. Now the beams on the outside corners have to be steel. It really is no big deal.Just a little bump in the road.I fully expect my house to be done by the sept. (hopefully sooner).
3 houses at once, wow you really are a busy guy.
Just out of curiousity, do you ever use any studs, plywood or particleboard that has Roseburg Forest Products stamped on them?(wondering how far east my employers product is shipped) Take it easy
