Spark Plug Wires
Anybody have any recommendations on a good set of spark plug wires for the V6, I'm looking to get a new set for my truck and was just curious about others experiences with performance wires.

It's only one opinion but I've been pleased with the FMS wires. They seem to perform a bit better than the OEM wires. I havn't heard anyone complain about them.

I've got the Accel 9000 series plug wires for my V6 and am fairly happy with them. Going with lower resistance wires means more radio interferance in your soundsystem. My wire upgrade introduced too much noise into my aftermarket stereo setup. I had to get rid of my bass boost crossover to get rid of much of the noise. The noise is still there, but at an almost unaudible level.

Mike Troyer (superchips) told me about a company called Magnecore. (248-669-6688) I ordered them and installed a set of Bosch Platinum Plus 4 plugs. The wires look great
feel great and most of all a noticable difference. One thing Mike told me was the balance of the engine at idle was the smoothest with the plugs. I have noticed more horsepower, and just as he said a smoother running engine. I am very happy.

Not a big stereo guy but if I recall the biggest interference problems are caused by 1) A bad alternator
2) Check your grounds
3) Your speaker wires run close to your power wire
4) You need to get a ground loop isolator.
#4 has always fixed any problems I've ever had.

I'm looking at probably getting the magnecore wires, I heard from a friend who purchased those wires that they were probably one of the best you can get. How much did they cost you?? What colors do the wires come in?? thanks for any info. you can give.

If you are getting alot of noise from your engine, your plug wires may be to big. The bigger the core the less resistance there is which causes more noise. It can be fixed with a noise filter from your local car stereo shop. It won't fix it completly, but it will help a lot.
