Lightbulb removal of the cooling fan

I was just wondering if anyone has removed their stock engine fan and ran electric cooling fan/fans?

I am looking at doing this, but need to know, is there a kit i need to do it. Or can I just remove it, and replace the bolts that hold the pulley on. Also would 1 10" be enough or do I need 2 10"

Another thing is can I go to a cooler thermostat without screwing up the engine? I want to try to squeeze a few more horses out, I have the airbox mod done. And I am getting ready to bore the Throttle Body.

Thanks for the help.
