Post need engine mods for power and Fuel economy

I have a '99 V-6, 2 WD. Completely stock. 56,000 Miles. Looking for Air Intakes, Throttle body Spacers, Headers (Does anybody Make a Set?) (Super-Chargers?) An exhaust that doesn't sound like a V-6. Chips that work with a manual trans and a 3.55 limited slip. Do Split-fire Plugs make a difference, and Should I change the Plug Wires with an Aftermarket audio system? Am Getting poor fuel milage and need more power. Any help would be appreciated.

the superchip works great with the auto tranny but DO NOT expect the chip to give you better gas mileage.

It reduced my gas mileage by almost a full 2 mpg

JBA makes headers for our truck, and the Airiad FIPK is a nice add on too.

good luck!

my first mod was the electric fan setup, my calculations show that it gave me between 1-1.5 MPG increase. Search for electric fan, there are many posts about this topic.

My second major upgrade was a Jacobs ignition(still doing the MPG evaluation) to date gained at least 1 MPG after 3 fillups. The Jacobs is kind of expensive, but when gas is $3 per gallon it will pay for itself pretty quickly.

My opinion about the superchip (never had one, but read info posted by others). It will give you a HP gain and possibly a MPG gain, buy the MPG gain will be offset by the higher price of premium.
