Thumbs up

The V6 is the best truck i have ever had. And I have had a lot of trucks. Both fords and chevys With V8 A 6 cylinders in them.My V6 gets great gas mileage great power. I tow a 16 foot trailer with a mini back hoe no problems.

I have 131845 KM And I have no problems with the 6 banger. Good motor. But it needs a limited slip diff.

------------------
99 XL 4.2L, 3.55 Limit slip, Alum. rims,
Captins Chairs, Long Box
Headlight covers, Master flow muffler,
It is one hard working truck!!!

The 4.2l is a good engine once you respect its limits. It gets good highway mileage even with a full load (I personally got 23 mpg with a 500 lb overload cruising at 65mph through Hwy 5). If Ford would make a V-6 SuperCab F-150 with at least 2200lbs of payload, I would buy another one. Its a good economical engine and makes good power above 2500 rpm (and crap mileage). We use the F-150 for delivery and it is constantly being overloaded. When I was driving it I usually get 14 mpg's during the winter with the lead foot, 16 mpg's with light foot, and 18's at around summer. It is a 99 SuperCab SB 2wd.
