Question Question about the Throttle Body Spacer...

I know that a spacer adds volume to an intake but does it really help with a "dry" intake manifold at all? i know that the more length a runner has the more torque the car can make but does the throttle body spacer actually "extend" the length of the runners? does it have an adverse effect on horsepower because of our dual runner system? Because it would "lengthen" the short side of the manifold. Is the throttle body spacer really beneficial to a truck that has a couple of add ons such as the airaid fipk or exhaust? or do you think that it will contradict all these,
just asking cause if you spend the 100 bucks to get it, and it eliminates the advantages of everything else, how much are you out with a truck that just whistles?? just asking for info and anybody that can reply will be greatly appreciated.
I plan to run nos and the jacobs igniton with the jba headers that are coming out and was wondering if it helped at all even a little.
oh another question.. what is included in the jacobs ignition for our v-6's? because i went up to the store and they said they only had the plug wires and thats all they make for our trucks. can someone tell me whats up with these systems? from what i hear they are really worth the money
