v-6 unleashed part 2
It happened today.Some kid thought he wanted a piece of my truck.He had a lowered 98 chevy stepside 2whl drive w/ a v-8.He was also running a dual out cat back system.I was pulling up to the stop light and noticed the duals out the back.I thought hmm.I won't even try to race him.Ya right,when I got beside him at the light he just kept revving his motor.I think to my self fine.I will give it a shot.So I looked over a gave the "I am game" nod.The light turned green and we were off.Talk about a slow reaction time,poor kid never stood a chance.By the time I hit 55(the speed limit on this particular road) he was gaining and only a half a truck length down.I let off and stuck to the speed limit.He also let off and never passed me(I think he was embarrassed and didn't want me to laugh at him).I was quite pleasantly surprised by this run my truck made.Seems like as she is getting more broke in, she's gettin quicker.Can't wait till my finances allow more power related mods.Just thought you guys would like to hear about the death of another bowtie. LOL
