Angry Only 100?!!!

I got pulled over by a cop today and we were stopped for over an hour cause my friend was driving my truck and he didn't have a license on him. Then the cop gave me a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. Anyway, When I left, you could imagine that I would be pretty pissed.
So I was driving pretty fast. My truck will only go 100. What is up with that. Will it increase if i get a chip? If so how much?

Hotshot, all ford trucks except for the lightning have factory speed goveners. From what I have read the govener can vary from 95MPH up to 100MPH depending on what tires you have on your truck. When I bought my truck it had a 99MPH govener on it, that drove me nuts. I got a chip for it and the chip removed the govener and it gave me a great power increase.

Driving "pissed" and it wouldn't top 100 mph -- geez, man, it probably saved your life (or someone else's)!

Reminds me of one of my favorite bumper stickers:

Driving Fast is...
...Not the same as...
...being in a hurry.

I dusted a V-8 (Triton emblem on black Laredo)on the interstate about a month before trading my '99 (w/ Superchip) because he cut out @ around 100..... and the "lil' 6" kept truckin'!!! He did not seem too happy at the time. I do not know where it peaked out at due to the speedo only reads a 100 mph. Made my day.... Doc

Thumbs up

The Superchip removes the top-speed limiter. Good thing, my truck hits 3rd gear at 85 mph in auto.

Cool

Mike Troyer told me that the Superchip would allow my V6 to top at aroun 112-115 mph. Sounds good to me
