Exclamation Removing the air intake silencer

I know it will suck in hot air from the engine, but did any of ya'll feel an increase in power? I have flowmaster, K&N, and the silencer removed. I can burn out thru 3rd gear (5-speed) Not bad for a V-6

The intake silencer off the filter box is the little tube that is connected to the end of your filter box and is connected to the fender. Yank it out.

I have the 3:55 setup.
I have flowmaster 50, K&N, Intake silencer removed.
All I do is get the RPM's to around 2500 then take off. I squeal good thru 1st-2nd, and chirp going into 3rd.

Question

Does removing the silencer make the truck's exhaust sound any louder? I know that on my old Nissan the flowmaster was twice as loud with the filter exposed. I the only time I have burned through 3rd was on a rainy day same gears as Fakefvc.

all mine will do is chirp 2nd . All I have is a Jet Performance Products high flow reusable air filter(similar to the k&n but a little cheaper). The added weight of 4x4 is just too much for the v-6 to burn rubber with.

Mine will also lay rubber in first and second, even get more than just a chirp from third, and the only mod I have at this time is K&N air filter.
