Question Changing gear ratios

Is it a big deal to change gear ratios to at least 3:55? And more importantly, is it expensive?

Swapping the gears is one of my next mods. Parts will run you between 130 and 180. and the Labor will run around 250. As far as the difficulty, I know enough not to mess with the Diff and gears and I'm gonna pay someone else to do it.

Question

Gears alone cost $180-200, parts kits cost $20-120 depending on what is actually replaced after inspection. Expect to pay approx $500 . If you are not experienced with this project you will need someone who has set up gears before.

Yups, that's just about right. I went in to 4wheel parts yesterday to get my airaid, and asked about gear changing costs. Parts he said would be $150 + tax and $300 labor. Maybe another couple of paychecks, and I'll swap the 3.55s for 4.56s.
