Question true duals

Has anyone out there tried true duals on their 4.2?
If so how does it sound? Did you leave the cats on, modify or install hi-flow cats?
Would you do it that way again if you had it to do over?
Here in SC there is no emmission test, so the barn door is wide open.

You have found at least one person who has a 4.2 w/true duals. At first I had a cat-back on the truck, but after a few months I came to my senses and had it chopped off and the real exhaust installed. the true duals will sound sooo much better than the cat-back if you use the right muffler. It gave me a much better power gain than the cat-back. A lot of exhaust shops will try to blow smoke up your rear by saying that a true dual releives too much back-pressure but to be honest on all ford trucks they have four cats! thoes alone will give enough back-pressure to run true duals. also some places will tell you that you NEED a crossover pipe but that is also a load of bull the crossover just adds a little pressure and mellows out the sound of the exaust (I do not have a crossover on mine). I would leave the cats alone cause just think...some day you might move to another state that emissions testing. And If I had to do it over again I would get the same setup I have now.
