Question wich performance chip is better?

I'm getting ready to get my v-6 up to speed and I was wondering why most of the people in here prefer the superchip? If I am not mistaken the jet performance chip says it will net a few more horsepower. The cost is about the same so I am not woried about that.
Thanks for your help

I looked into a couple of the other chips..Jet and Hypertech...but they seemed to only net their performance gains at WOT. The Superchip works all of the time..and the fact that so many other F-150 owners on here recommended it after installing it sold me. And to have *free* technical help from Mike Troyer is a win/win combination.

Just spend some time in the Computer Chips section for additional info. I am more than pleased with the Superchip brand!!

Dear lightningcrashz,

I don't think you'll find anyone who has ever had both a Jet and a Superchip to ever say they preferred the Jet product.

The Superchips works better because of 2 basic principles: 1.) We do not make any "generic" chips, we program each individual vehicle according to it's own computer software revision, so you get a program that was made specifically for *your* truck. With Jet, you get a generic program, compromised to run on all similar vehicles. 2.) The Superchip adds power *ALL* the time, from 1000 rpm on up, regardless of throttle position. Jet, Hypertech, and most others only add power when you are at full-throttle.

The fact of the matter is that the Superchip adds far more power to the 4.2 V-6 (or any other engine, for that matter) than the Jet product, and we guarantee it.

Now of course since we market that product, we are going to promote it, but I want to leave you with one basic thought to remember....we market Superchips because they are the best; if Jet made a better product, we'd be selling them instead. The only thing that matters to us is what works, not the name on the box.

If you'd like more detailed & specific information, please feel free to give us a call, we'll be happy to go over all of that with you, so you can give it some thought, and decide which way you want to go.

Good luck with your truck,
