I don't think they'd look dumb at all, in fact I think the rims would look great. A couple of things to consider though:

1) The 18" Goodyears are ~250-300 each

2) I'm not sure how tall your stock tires are - but if the new rims increase your overall tire height, you'll have to go to 3.73's or maybe even 4.10 gears to keep the same level of performance (and don't forget about the speedo being off)
