trip from PA to CO in my V6

Just went from CO to PA and back and i cant remember how many gallons i used going there but on the way back i got 18.1 average at 75-100mph, drafting at 85-90mph for about 200 miles of it. missouri and kansas i got worse mileage from all the hills and also kansas was like 40mph winds plus i am thinking i got a bad batch of gas. its funny because it worked out like this...mpgs are rounded
left PA filled up in Ohio after 258.3 miles-took 12.599 gallons-20.5mpg.
after 274.3miles-took 14.075gallons-19.5mpg-85mph
after 186.5miles-took 10.718gallons-17.4mpg(missouri).85-100mph
after 318.9miles-took 17.9gallons-17.8mpg(kansas, no wind).85-100mph
after 312.1miles-took 19.442gallons-16.1mpgs(kansas windy and not windy..ill explain)75-85mph
kansas was funny because it worked out kinda cool. filled up, drove with no wind then all of a sudden it was like 40mph winds when i hit 3/4 tank. i was drafting off of a dodge ram 3500 at 85mph from full tank to 1/2. but the breakdown was, (going by the gas gauge) from full to 3/4 i got 20mpg, from 3/4 to half was 40mph winds and i got 13.3mpg, then the wind stopped at 1/2 tank so from 1/2 to 1/4 there was just a heavy breeze and i got 15.1. there were a few occasions that i was messing around with people, like 10-15 to be exact, mostly in missouri(there was a car show letting out in st louis), so i think i could have bumped up my overall average to about 19-19.5mpgs. my aveage moving speed on my GPS was 81mph and average overall was 76mph and max speed was at 99mph before the trip, now it says 100. also always used 87 octane. i use 87 in colorado still. and going out there i noticed my power come back. then coming back, once i got into colorado, i could probably run faster than my truck again. i kept thinking...."why did i move here?" my truck is not fast but by no means a "slouch" but in colorado it is a mega slouch. but getting my VMP'ed SCT in a few days so maybe get it somewhat like it was in the rest of the country.
