In almost every big city, there is at least one shop that works on alternators. Go there first. They will know how much electricity needs to be produced for your application, and what to do for fabricating mounting brackets that you will need.

10-4, I went to the local shop to see about getting my alternator stepped on....
And I got this weird look from him and then he went on about it been a no, no, to do that, so I didnt fool with him....and theres nobody else in this area who fools with them or even sales those HO alt....

If I cant but a HO alt, can I take like a bigger alt from another truck and just splice the wires in and it work ?......
Or would that mess something else up along the way ?.....
I dont remember what it is but it is less than 100 amp alt....
