Bad running problem.

Okay, all is fine runs great and all. At this one stop light, yes I have only had it happened to me at one intersection and it does it every time im there my trucks idle drops to about 600 or a little bit lower and starts jumping up slightly. I ease my foot on the gas to get it to 700 rpms and it sits there fine and smooth idle. Once the light turns green I ease my foot off the brake and about 15 feet later in the turn my truck bogs down a noticible amount then is sluggish going across the interesection. Maybe like 50% throttle to get it to 2000 rpms. I have the P0174 and P0171 codes due to bad cats. Thats it, im guessing vacumm leak but help is greatly appreciated.

How many miles on it? Sounds like you need to start checking the common vacuum leak areas (PCV elbow, upper\lower intake gaskets, plenum, isolator bolts, etc). And depending on how many miles, might be time for a new coil pack. Hard to say, as I don't know the maintenance history of your truck, but those codes are common, search em...

Do you realize that the chances of your cats going out at that mileage are just about slim to 0? If your cats were bad your truck would never be "running great and all". You would have almost 0 power all the time, and at night you would see a pretty red glow coming from under the truck.

I would be willing to be a pretty penny thats not your problem. Have you gotten an infa-red thermometer to see if they were bad anyhow?

I ment o2 sensors by that. Plus they are bad from getting water in there then it was hot it broke up the insides so they rattle extremly bad. It's not the cats though, they still flow. I just ment the sensors.

Those codes are usally also a vacumm leak. So I dont know, my cats need to replaced to so why not fix it to 100% when im working on it.

Your O2 sensors are FINE - if they are reporting P0171 and P0174 they are doing their job. You are running lean due to a vacuum leak or a dirty maf or a bad tune.
