Red face Does the 2000 V6 model have a DPFE sensor?

The sensor being messed up would make sense, but my Mr. Mechanic Dad said that my truck doesn't use a sensor for the EGR valve, it uses a vacuum. Is he retarded?

It sure does. The EGR is in fact vacuum operated, but there's a lot of stuff in between the vacuum source and the EGR valve - the DPFE is one of them. There's also an EGR Vacuum Solenoid and a EGR Valve Position Sensor.
