Hi . I have a 2000 F150 w/ a 5 speed manual. I replaced a bad alternator a few weeks back. Even before that I was having a bad exhaust squeak and rattle on the drivers side, I'm not exactly sure why. Someone said the exhaust donuts may be worn out and it is spring mounted to the exhaust manifold ? true or not ? I did find 2 of the crossmember bolts almost all the way out and suspect that the dealership left them that way a few years back when they replaced the clutch on a warranty issue . but I digress.. Now I have a Hicup and chirp that happen at the same time now and then when I accelerate . The chirp sounds like a cricket and only happens for a second and the engine "hiccups at the same time . It has 89,000 miles on it or so ... Any ideas guys ? Thanks in advance ...Dan
