Odo reading?

I have a question, on my 2003 f-150 the dash will sometimes not show the odo reading, it seems to show it more when the truck is cold, but after it warms up it goes out. I can tap on the dash part of the time and get it to come on. Also, my trans started leaking fluid, not heavily, but it appers to be coming from the front right of the pan. Thats a reuseable gaskit right? And if so do i replace it or what. It only started leaking last weekened when i pulled a trialer for a side job. Nothing to heavy kept it on the low side.

1. https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...er-repair.html

2. Yes, it's a reusable gasket. However, you have to determine exactly where the fluid is coming from. If it is in fact the gasket, try retorquing the bolts - do NOT crank them down TOO tight or you could crush the gasket. If you replace the gasket, get a replacement from Ford, the aftermarket gaskets are not as good.
