Oil pressure question.
02 V6.
Oil pressure gauge dips and light comes usually at deceleration like coming up to a stop light light. While driving no issues at all.
My question is if the gauge dips to show low pressure AND the oil light comes on then I'm going to assume that neither the switch or the sending unit are bad, correct?
So that would leave me with the pressure relief valve or the pump itself as the next components to replace, assuming there are no issues with the pickup or oil ports, correct?
Its been a while, but are the valve and the pump within the same unit?
